The Wat Arun enshrined the emerald Buddha image before it was transferred to Bangkok in 1785 A.D. WAT Arun is also called WAT Chaeng, the Temple of the Dawn.The temple is named this because the first light of the morning reflects off the surface of the temple with pearly iridescence.
There stair to the top were quite steep especially because I was wearing sandals. It had a really nice view of the city.
